Positions Summary
Northstar Systembuilt is seeking a dependable and skilled Plumber to install plumbing systems in new residential and commercial construction projects. This position focuses on rough-in plumbing, water supply and drain systems, fixture installation, testing and final connections in a production and construction environment. The ideal candidate will have experience reading plans, working with construction teams, and delivering high-quality workmanship while maintaining safety and productivity standards.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Install water supply drain, waste and vent (DWV) systems in new construction projects.
Perform rough-in plumbing according to blueprints, specifications, and applicable building codes.
Install plumbing fixtures, including sinks, toilets, faucets, tubs, showers, water heaters, and specialty equipment.
Measure, cut, assemble and connect various types of piping including PEX, PVE, ABS, copper and cast iron.
Maintain a clean and organized work area.
Operate hand and power tools safely and effectively.
Follow all company safety policies and OSHA requirements.
Assist with material handling, inventory management and job site preparation as needed.
Qualifications
High school diploma or GED.
Previous plumbing or construction experience preferred.
Knowledge of plumbing systems, tools materials and building codes.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and construction drawings.
Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Reliable attendance and strong work ethic.
Physical Requirements
Ability to lift and carry 75 pounds.
Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, crouch, and climb throughout the work day.
Ability to work on ladders, scaffolding and in confined spaces.
